Rinse as soon as you’re out
Cool, fresh water right after the pool washes out residual chlorine. A chlorine remover added to that rinse pulls out more than water alone.
Hand wash, don’t wring
Regular rinsing means you don’t need a full wash every time. A mild soap every few wears is enough. Wringing damages the fibers, so press out water gently instead.
Lay flat in the shade
Heat and tumbling from a washer or dryer damage both the fabric and its elasticity. A shaded, well-ventilated spot to lay flat is the safer option.
Rotate between suits
Switching between two or more suits gives each one time to fully dry. That rest reduces the cumulative stress from repeated chlorine exposure.
