Lines with a specific name, like Speedo’s Endurance+, TYR’s Durafast Elite, or Arena’s MaxLife, are genuinely tested fabrics. A generic "chlorine resistant" claim with no named line is worth a second look.
Check the fabric composition
80% polyester or higher is a good sign. Higher still is better. A fabric that leans heavily on nylon is one to avoid.
Certifications are worth a glance
An OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification means no harmful substances were used. It doesn’t guarantee chlorine resistance on its own, but it’s a sign of quality control.
No fabric is fully immune
Chlorine resistant means a fabric holds up longer, not that chlorine has no effect at all. Even a good fabric still needs proper care.
