Thin straps, a wide opening
Flyback has the widest range of shoulder rotation of any back cut. Thin straps and a wide back opening are built for butterfly and backstroke, and for sprinting more generally.
A lighter feel
The wide opening and thin straps make flyback the lightest-feeling cut on the body. That lightness is most noticeable during short, high-intensity sets.
When to choose something else
Reach for pro back or racerback when long-session stability matters more than shoulder range. Reach for flyback when shoulder rotation is the priority.

FAQ
Is flyback suitable for beginners?
Yes, though racerback or pro back may feel more supportive if you want extra security.
Does flyback actually cut drag?
It feels lighter thanks to the open back, but how that translates to speed depends on your own stroke.
